Embarrassed that these are in my home
These were gifted to us by a well meaning gift giver. They saw the name Waterford and believed they were a quality product. They are thick, heavy, bulky, seamed and swirly pressed glass. Waterford refers to it as "crystalline" not crystal. If you have ever handled or drunk from fine quality...or even good quality crystal this is the opposite thereof. These are possibly worthy of being filled by Cooks or Andre sparkling wines but nothing over $5 a bottle should be wasted. The rims are so thick the flavor of the wine is negatively impacted when it flows onto the palate. I have 96 Libby glass flutes from Dollar Tree that I use for garden parties. They serve a better glass of sparkling wine to the palate than these do. Even from several paces these look cheap. I store them in the closed bottom ... Another point, when your wet fingertip circles the rim, a fine quality glass will emit a tone that should sound like it comes from the heavens, these have more of a "Please stop that" sound.
