Michael Bay, the master of the big-budget blockbuster, directs this action film that is packed with emotion. With a planet-killing asteroid on a collision course with Earth, it's up to a motley crew of scientists and oil drillers (yes, oil drillers) to save the earth. With 18 days to impact, a team from NASA (led by Billy Bob Thornton) frantically tries to find a solution but ends up turning to an outside contractor. Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) and his team of oilmen are called upon to save the planet as only they can. ARMAGEDDON may boast impressive special effects, but it's the cast--including Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, Steve Buscemi, and Owen Wilson--that gives the film its humor and heart. Tyler's father Steven Tyler and his band Aerosmith contributed the Oscar-nominated hit "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" to the soundtrack.

outrageous -- this seller deliberately marked the postal delivery for carding and pick up at post office instead of going into the mailbox in the lobby of my buildiing! WHY?     one of the best "end of the world" movies ever!

    this is a classic sci-fi movie with an all-star cast! with a meteor on a collision course with earth, the fate of the planet rests in the hands of a rag-tag bunch of heroes. this movie has action, humor, and a great soundtrack! and let's not forget about the players. bruce willis, ben affleck, liv tyler, billy bob thornton, and steve buscemi. what's not to like!

    ''ARMAGEDDON'' 1997.

    I saw this in the theatre a month after it was released. It was spectacular. I have the 2 disc special edition d.v.d. As far as the movie itself, it is NOT a director's cut. It only has 3 extra minutes of never before seen footage. But the bonus features are great.

    Great movie!

    I love this movie. I have watched is several times in the past, but wanted a copy of my own so I could watch it any time I want. It's a truly engaging story, and the characters are very likeable and loveable. One of my all-time favorites!
