    The 'bar' is raised

    In these times one expects electronics to move at the speed of light. Just recently I decided to upgrade our systems because we were spending too much time waiting for 'boot up'. It's odd that we would have to go do something else while we waited for this boot up to complete. We would do something that would take a few minutes rather than sit like a couple of 'bumps'. Until we kept finding ourselves in this time warp we didn't appreciate how long a few minutes could be...nor how aggravating. I decided to upgrade even further and bought Samsung Evo and Pro SSD's. My computer now boots up in about 7 seconds and I'm on line in about 15. That's incredible. 15 seconds and I'm in my mailbox. I expect that this time will improve also since Windows 10 seems to get a little quicker as it finds ...

    Good but not best value SSD.

    Great sequential read/write performance. Bought this used and it looks and performs almost as if it were new. Wouldn't have bought it if I didn't get it used though. They're too expensive new compared to similar drives. Included software is nice. Benchmarks from Samsung Magician software are as follows: Sequential Read (MB/s): 540 (up to 540) Sequential Write (MB/s): 508 (up to 520) Random Read (IOPS) 61592 (up to 97000) Random Write (IOPS) 19280 (up to 88000) My SSD was configured for maximum capacity at time of testing.

    Solid State Drives

    Neat little Solid State Drive. In general, any SSD will speed up some computer operations really a lot. Start up time would seem to be around ten times faster. Plus odds favor that SSD's will be more reliable than the mechanical hard drives, but that will take a few more years to determine with certainty. And if you do not want to spend on a large capacity one, put your operating system along with the commonly used programs and files on a smaller drive and expect a major speedup.

    turbocharge your computer

    What an amazing difference in performance over the old platter type HDD. It used to take 3 minutes for my computer to boot and now it takes only 30 seconds to be fully usable, and everything else is blazingly fast as well, I would have to recommend this to anyone who has a computer with a slow old style HDD, it makes a world of difference.

    Received the SSD drive, and installed it the same day, easy to install. I haven't had any problems with the drive and works as it is supposed to. Now let me say, this is the exact same drive I received for Christmas that cost half again what this drive cost. Too bad I cannot return the first one. This drive was recommended to me by my son whom purchased the first and I enjoyed the first one so much I purchased a second one for a different laptop. Both laptops start in less that 10 seconds with these drives used as the drive holding the operating system. Makes a world of difference. T.
