    Pretty fast, even by today's standards, oc's well. But don't pay too much.

    A big jump from single core - worth the investment!

    It's been five years since I changed my CPU - a 3GHz Pentium 4 - and the time of the year when I put togehter all the photos and videos of the year was approaching (that's right: December). When I start of the full HD rendering of my movies it's time to leave the PC alone as it would not be able to do anything else. So, with lots of videos to be collated, and as my christmas present, I maxed out my motherboard by getting a Core 2 Quad CPU. I was skeptic with the downgrade from 3.0GHz to 2.4GHz but online reviews reassured me. A Breeze! Not only I can render a movie and still use the PC BUT I can even render TWO movies at the same time! Awesome.

    Intel BX80562Q6600 2.4GHz Processor

    I was slow to leave feedback at first just so I could test the CPU to it`s full, An old CPU that does everything you want from a quad core I have now overclocked it and I am more than happy. The CPU is running a back-up machine that has got 4 blu-ray re-writers in it 4 hhd`s that are 2tb each 3 120mm case fans a ram fan with splitters for the HHD fans. Yes I know you might be thinking that all that needs a good PSU but without the CPU nothing would work in a PC, This CPU runs almost as fast has another PC I have with a Intel Core i7 980x Extreme Gulftown 32nm, 6 Cores, 3.33GHz, in it. Yep for people that cannot afford to go over the top buying big CPU`S I can tell you that you would not go far wrong with these type of CPU`S................ bolobites

    The Q6600 is still a very agile chip

    I bought this CPU to revive an ageing Core 2 Duo. It's injected quite a bit of power into an otherwise nearly obsolete motherboard. These chips are by far not done in their market share. They're pretty powerful even by today's standards and oh boy, do they overclock easy! (Make sure it's a 'G0 Stepping' version for the easy overclock) I'd recommend these chips to anyone.

    Excellent performance improvement and value.

    Very easy to install in Dell Precision 390. Worked straight away. Significant speed gain on E6300. Great value for money.
