Plastic Wheels
I tried to find replacement wheels for a used bike that my granddaughter has. Apparently, finding rubber tread wheels is difficult at best. Instead I purchased this set. I didn't need to use the metal supports, however they looked strong. The wheels are hard plastic. The back of the wheel is open without any back support. Though it may be adequate, it seems pretty cheap. Chintzy, non-adjustable training wheels
Plastic wheels, no rubber tread, can't adjust the height if you change to a bike of a different wheel size. I really should have looked harder before I bought these, because they are fairly junky. But hey, at least you get two sets of wheel decals!

OK Quality...gets the job done
not as high quality as when I was a boy. Wish I could find my old ones. Bet they are still being used somewhere. These work just fine, they are just thinner and cheaper as most things today.

Not as "Universal" as advertised. Bent easily. My kids bike is even also a Schwinn but the frame was too fat for the arms that keep the wheels from moving. I had to flatten those arms and secure them with hose clamps.
