    This film is not a pure documentary but is okay as an interpretive piece.

    This is a good film but a bit arty for me as I was looking for hard science documentary. But it is okay. I just wish someone would make a film that just showed the art and the cave and the surroundings without a lot of personal interpretations and contemporary music. I would prefer the sounds of the cave itself and the river and wind outside. Film is such a great way to capture more than just static images... it can capture sounds and environmental movement too. It can take us back to when those first humans were there making that amazing art. : ) also, what i just said is actually really important because this cave has been shut off from the public because damage can occur from people's breath... so they have made a facsimile cave nearby that visitors can go in.. but it is not The ...

    Inspireing awe and profond wonder___!

    It's a wonderful documentaries of ancient pritorial cave art. This film provides a unique view of nearly inaccessiable, pristine works dating back over 30,000 years __ almost twice as old as any other known to exist. Herzog evokes wonder and curiosity in equal measure as he explores the very beginning of human culture and art. Inspireing awe and profound wonder____!
