  • CAUGHT UP IN THE MOMENT

Features Acotrs:Anne Hathaway,Rosemarie DeWitt,Debra Winger & Bill Irwin Running Time:113 Min. Rating:R Hathaway (The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada) is Kym, a sarcastically self-described 'visiting sociopath' who is on leave from the local drug rehab facility in a pricey Connecticut burb, to stop by the sprawling family home for sister Rachel's (Rosemarie DeWitt) lavish wedding. Kym is also in search of a little unconditional love, not likely in an atmosphere where she's most remembered for 'passing out in bathtubs, and restraining orders.' There's also a rising level of unspoken tension beneath the composed family facade in anticipation of the wedding, around Kym's connection to a family tragedy involving a younger brother. ...

  • Rachel Getting Married

Rachel Getting Married is a superb piece of cinema by the director of Silence of the Lambs and Philidelphia. Anna Hathaway's performance is nothing short of powerful while her co-stars only fall a little short. Well deserving of her Oscar nomination, Anne Hathaway portrays an addict still living with the ghosts of her pasts (unfortunatly, so is her sister Rachel). One of the more interesting tones of the film is the camera direction. It nearly reminds one of a home-made video which simply works so well with the feeling that we are watching these peoples lives candidly. A very emotional picture, not to deter the more alpha male types, but make sure you have a tissue handy.

  • How disturbed siblings affect marriage

I bought this movie on a friend's recommendation. I was looking for something a little more uplifting. People who abuse drugs and alcohol already have too great an impact on everyone they come in contact with, making everyday life more difficult and burdensome. I see this everyday. When I watch a movie I would prefer to see something else. The fact that drug and alcohol abusers are out of control is of no solace.

This movie was more like an indie film I guess, but I wanted to see it because it was such a different role for Anne Hathaway. She really played a good role in this movie. I just thought some points in the movie were tedious and drawn out to long. Overall it was good, a good story.
