Will Smith is James West, a Civil War hero and U.S. marshal inclined to shoot first and ask questions later. His partner is the wacky inventor and pseudointellectual Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline). The team is created when the world's leading scientists are kidnapped by a diabolical madman named Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh), and President Ulysses S. Grant (also played by Kevin Kline) wants his two best men on the job. Loveless's machines have the creepy fun feeling of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (Welch again)--many of them have a spider motif--and Artemus Gordon rivals him with his own fun inventions. An odd but enjoyable blend of science fiction and old-school Western, WILD WILD WEST is packed with cool images and slick action sequences.

Product is okay, personally dessapointed with the movie.
This movie truly stinks. The humor is flat, Kevin Kline spends half his time in drag or other ridiculous disguises, Selama Hayek is about as sexy as lettuce since they don't let her do much, and Will Smith is laughable, yes you're laughing at him, not with him. This is truly embarrassing for all concerned. The spfx are not bad, but by then, you've lost interest. This flick was a Flop, and deservedly so.This movie truly stinks. Good Movie
I liked the fact that Wild Wild West was re-created. I didn't like the over the top creation. What's with all that iron. Things that didn't exist in the western days should not have existed in the movie. Will Smith was very good...as usual. His acting ability is superb! Other than that...it was a good movie.

Entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
I like Will Smith in any Movie. Wild Wild West keeps you watching. Action packed and funny. My Grandaughters sat and watched every bit of it without moving. They liked the Video after the movie was over too.
