ACCELERACERS VOL. 1 - IGNITION: This fast-paced animated adventure follows the fortunes of two race teams as they eschew their usual competitive instincts and work together. The Teku and the Metal Mechanics are the teams in question, united in order to save the AcceleChargers, who are in danger of succumbing to the evil Racing Drones. Some breathtaking action ensues, with the drivers pulling out all the stops to make their their mission a resounding success. ACCELERACERS VOL. 2 - THE SPEED OF SILENCE: This time out, the racing drones disappoint Vert as his former prowess as a surfer comes to nothing when he is immediately eliminated from the Water Realm. Meanwhile, in the Metro Realm, an enormous machine designed to eat up the cars plays havoc with the fortunes of the drivers as they plough through an entirely deserted city. Fast-paced and entertaining, these animated adventures practically ooze the smell of burning rubber and exhaust fumes.

    Cult classic with decent character developement. Good for boys under 10.

    Guess this is a cult classic. Happened to pick up the precurser to this double feature, which is volume 1 and 2 of a 4 volume set, in the thrift store. My boys (ages 8-11) really liked the characters and wanted more. the story is OK. The Hot Wheels guys have to race to save the world from evil alien cyborg type racers who want "the wheel of power". They develope commeraudery and loyalty to each other while trying to achieve their end goal. There isn't any bad language. The animation is dated, but the story seemed to make up for it. I will be getting the other two volumes soon so the boys can see what happens.

    Perfect for the Tots

    It was just as described. I don't think its as long as they claim. Only one c.d. in the double feature and couldn't seem to find second feature. My son was happy so am I. Its incredibaly computerized and they are very dark lighted cartoons.Overall is good.
