Great game, one of the best 8-bit Mega Man games.

Great game, definitely builds upon the bar set by Mega Man 2, and although not quite as challenging, definitely fun! The standard 8-bit NES graphics are good for its time, and hold up pretty well today. The music is surprisingly good. Length is almost perfect. A great entry in the Mega Man legacy!

  • Mega Man 3 nes

The Mega Man series sees itself move into the third installment of the franchise and the game play had remained the same. You are introduced to sliding, which would become a regular trademark in the Mega Man Classic series and also Rush. In addition to that, there is a new robot named Protoman, whom is Mega Man's brother. Speaking of Protoman, am I the only one who thinks he reminds me of Racerx from the cartoon Speed Racer? Anyhow, let us talk about the game itself and talk about the plot. Plot: Dr. Wily has said that he has “turned” over a new leaf and is working with Dr. Light to build Gamma. However, there are problems in this world caused by evil robots and it is up to Mega Man to stop them. Unknown to Mega Man, it was actually Dr. Wily that sent them out and continue his ...

  • Great nes old school game

This game is awesome. And the first megaman game to actually put megaman on the cover of hte box. On the first two he looked totally different, and i'm pretty sure on the cover of the first game he was yellow or something. Any way this game is great with new bosses to battle. REally fun, like all megaman games it has incredible replay value and can be impossible to put down at tiems. THis game is much harder than 1 or 2, and just as fun. The music is awesome and the graphics are good. Teh gameplay is incredibley simple but thats what makes megaman great. Many different techniques that can be learned as you progress through the game. The only thing never good about megaman (untill X started) are the storylines. Thats really the only bad thing about this game.

  • One of three best in the original series

Mega Man 3 was the first installment of the Mega Man series I ever played back when I was in First Grade and it's always been a favorite of mine. The controls are spot on; the music is excellent (gotta love Proto Man's theme) and the level design and bosses are top notch. The only thing I can think of that might discourage people from purchasing this game is it's difficulty; it's VERY hard. However it's also a game that you get a true sense of accomplishment when you beat it. In my opinion, Mega Man 3, along with 2 and 4; was the best in the original series and is a must-own NES game.

  • Terrific

Mega Man 3 is, of course, the third installment in the original 8-bit NES Mega Man series. It first came to that system 18 years ago in 1990, and it was the first game in the series to be released to an already-established audience of franchise fans. The first Mega Man had come and gone with little fanfare, but Mega Man 2 had exploded onto the scene and found great success -- inspiring a wave of popularity for the franchise and the character. So by the time Mega Man 3 came around, Capcom could have decided to just make it a quick, cookie-cutter sequel. To cash in.
