The seller did not list this book according to the e-bay description standards (good should have no highlighting), but the seller did say there was light to moderate highlighting in the book. I'm not sure I would agree the highlighting even fits that description as there are some pages that have more than 50% of them highlighted. Didn't "Hunger" for Feehans New Dark Hunger book.....
I was excited when I saw this. I always thought she should make movies about her Dark Hunter Series. Or at least something more visual. I love her books. I think I've read all of them. But when the book was shipped to me... First everythings in black and white. I thought it would be in vivid color. Or at least when the dark hunter meets his mate. The pictures arent that bad...but the comic version wasnt all that great. I guess with all the thought that goes behind her story lines..I thought it would be more detailed somehow. I read through it so fast and then thought... is that it? And it seems more for teenagers than adults.I was excited when I saw this. I wish I had taken the time to read the synopsis or at least a few reviews...I assumed this book was part of the "Dark Series"...it's NOT...It's a comic book for heaven's sake, certainly not a novel...What a BIG disappointment! Synopsis: This manga adaptation of Christine Feehan's short story, which was originally released as part of the HOT BLOODED anthology, is the first of Feehan's Carpathian stories to be released in illustrated format. Juliette, a lovely and spirited shapeshifter and animal rights activist bent on releasing caged animals from a dark jungle laboratory, comes across a prisoner she never expected: the immortal Carpathian Riordan, chained by evil captors and bent on revenge. When she releases him from his bonds, he turns his ... Dark Hunger - Cartoon book version
There is no way that a comic book type thing can make the same impression. Half the importance is your own imagination - not what someone else percieves. It is my fault for ordering this book not knowing that what I was looking for was in an anthology, but for those inclined to this type of look, happy hunting, the story was all sorts of fun...
