Item was packaged well, shipped and arrived in a timely fashion. However, there are a few defects with the typewriter which were not mentioned in the listing: one of the lesser-used typebar mechanisms had apparently been cannibalized for the purpose of repairs and was no longer functional; more significantly, the keys and escapement lock up regularly due to a fault in the mechanism, able to be worked around but quite jarring. Nonetheless, it was not advertised as being in working condition.

Great...........I plugged this in nothing. Ok, I thought i saw a picture of it working when I purchased it. I unplugged it and plugged it back into the electrical outlet. NOW it worked just great. Lowered the toast as it should and toasted very evenly. Toaster looks almost new. Glad it worked. It just needed an little extra push on the cord into the outlet. I would buy from this seller again. Item was well packed and shipped quickly.
