Excellent Workout
I've never heard of Shelly McDonald, but I was in the market for a different kickboxing workout. I was quite pleased with this video. There are four different workouts and each one is carefully explained and gradually progresses from simple to challenging. There are also two kickboxing workouts using the step boards. I've never done kickboxing with steps before and the workouts were great. I strongly recommend this video for all levels.I've never heard of Shelly McDonald, but I was in the market for a different kickboxing workout. I was quite pleased with this video. Good combo of step and KB
Shelley is a great instructor with good cuing and a personable style. Her combinations are fairly simple, but cover movements in all directions, utilzing upper and lower body well. I enjoy step and kickboxing, so this workout seems made for me. Advanced step choreography isn't necessary when kickbox moves are part of the package. My only complaint is the repetitive nature of some of the routines from one 20 minute segment to the next - she could have added more variety.Shelley is a great instructor with good cuing and a personable style. good for cardio and aerobic work out.. you will get as much as you give.. you can keep it low impact or raise it up... The only problem is it must be from a t.v. show.. there are weird breaks like they went to commercial and came back .. it is not real fluid.. the moves are easy and good for beginers to kickboxing..

The camera work is terrible. When she VERY quickly shows you how to perform a move, the camera is not even showing what she is doing 1/2 the time. The warmup is terrible and there is no cooldown. This is the worst exercise video I have ever seen. She uses some Muay Thai moves and doesn't even call them the correct move. She calls a knee strike a face smash? I am just glad that I didn't purchase this item retail because there is no way that I want to give the company that created it any of my money.The camera work is terrible.
