    excellent personal history of the North Africa campaign in first world war. T E Lawrence writes with wit and authority. Altho lengthy, the structure of the book is impeccably crafted in terms for grammar and vocabulary much of which is absent from current writers. The dash and splash of Lawrence's personality and illustrations lifts it out of the ordinary
