    Manfrotto 546B w/ 504 HD Head

    I’ve been familiar with Manfrotto products for a while through work. I am especially familiar with the 546B legs and the 502HD head. Adjusting the height of the tripod legs comes as second nature. The head took a minute or so to get used to, but it feels fantastic. The drag adjustments are easy to make. It is a very large head, so keep that in mind when buying. Really suitable for your larger ENG cameras.

    Wear out tooooo much that tripod & head both are not function properly

    The tripod.& Head looks in a good condition, but both are not work functionnoly right. The tripod dose not locking when it is rise up. And the head has too much play that clonkes when pan and tilt. I have to spend some time to fix all those to make it work properly...

    its a good tripod for the price and thats it..

    Heavy and Bulky, Difficult for RAPID setup and Breakdown. This tripods clasps to lock legs are difficult to open and lock closed.(THE CLASPS WARP OUT OF POSITION MAKING IT DEFECTIVE AT TIMES) The 504 HD head is good but has a little give to it when you try to lock it in place (minor movement) that effects LONG range shots. the 504 art carbon fiber would have been more fitting for me...... takes to long to set up at times. LOVE the 504 HD head though...the legs suck

    Pricy, but worth it.

    Manfrotto's are known for their quality (which translates to pricy) and their durability (which also translates to heft). Having used several of these over the years I can tell you they can take the abuse and keep on working. Hot or climates the head has been smooth and while some may find the extending and contracting of the legs a bit of a pain as compared to other tripods on the market, this isn't a tripod for a 1 lb. camcorder. This is a tripod that you use when you have thousands (or 10's of thousands) of dollars in equipment mounted to it.
