For fans of.any of the artists involved this is a MUST HAVE item! The same may well be said for those who have a purely historical interest in the music and musicians of that era. The liner notes by Corky Laing in the accompanying booklet provide rare and fascinating glimpses into the making of this unreleased album and details about the artists. That alone is reason enough to buy it. I think of it as a musical time capsule and try to hear the music in the context of the era in which it was recorded. Perhaps no potential instant commercial hits, then or now, but after a first listen to the songs I'll say that they are worth listening to again, and that's more than I can say about a lot of contemporary popular music. My opinion.

  • Great and awesome.

In Japan,Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson has been not famous at all.Today, they are almost unknown. But,once I saw Video of Mick Ronson, and heard Ian Hunter`s CD,then I got shocked and thought them as top-rated musicians. Heard this CD,I beleived they are great musician. In this, many good tunes I cannot understand how they feel or think to make musics. Very talented musicians.

  • The supergroup that never was

This is an awesome cd. So much guitar and songwriting talent in the same studio that its amazing. Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople fame), Todd Rundgren, Dickie Betts (Allman Bros.) and several members of the band Mountain...and the list goes on...every track is excellent, leaves you wondering what would have happened if more than just this studio session would have taken place? Could you have imagined this group of musicians touring together and putting out more and more releases? If your a fan of rock music and like the bands that these names are associated with then you'll love the bluesy rock n roll groove of this cd.

  • Keep The Secret !

With such a great line-up this should have made Super Sessions,(Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper), seem dull . The rhythm section of Mountain , lead section of Mott the Hoople , and a batch of the best guitarist in the WORLD should have made music outta this world ! For GOD sake they even had Clapton, (when he still had the "women tone"). But the whole album is BAD. The guitars are buried , the mix is the worst ever , No thunder bass from the EB1 of Felix , weak vocals , bad songs , I could go on and on ..... just DON"T get this CD , it STINKS.

  • Ian and friends make it happen

Great songs with the "Nazz"(Ian Hunter) flare. This Cd is a must for any Ian Hunter or Mott The Hoople fan.I am glad I know the "SECRET"
