      Great extractor

      Worked fine on removing twist off spikes, but I think it would be a better product if it had to post that fit into the hole openings of the spike, I found it harder to replace spikes with this tool. The handle is a little small also.

      Not helpful

      Apparently this will only work on cleats like the Scorpion ones. Had to rip out my old ones the hard way. Did replace them with Scorpions so we shall see if this thing works at all next time.

      Perfect for Softspikes brand, maybe not for others

      I used this for 2 pairs of shoes which featured different styles of Softspikes brand spikes (the original design and the more modern, spider style, which is also a bit taller). A traditional spike wrench (as well as a much higher quality ratcheting spike wrench) simply twisted right out of the holes, leaving them hopelessly stuck in place. Or so I thought. The Softspikes lined up perfectly in the open slots on this wrench and were removed with hardly any effort at all. That being said, I tried it on 2 others that had different brand soft spikes (Champ) and while it worked, it was a little bit of a struggle due to the design and spacing of those spikes, so keep that in mind before you buy. I'm not sure why a couple reviews said it was small or cheaply made. I have large hands, but ...

      Easy to use with great results

      I have owned several spike removers in my life time but nothing I have ever owned removed stubborn spikes like this. I used to use a pair of plires but the out come was not always positive.

      Not for Champ Spikes

      Didn't work that well with Champ spikes. Might work better with SoftSpikes brand spikes.
