"Even though risks for businesses are greater than ever, most entrepreneurs are responding by closing their eyes tighter. Protect your business (and yourself) with Davis' eye-opening thoughts." --Mike Michalowicz, author of Profit First and Clockwork, " The Art of Preventing Stupid is a must-read for any smart entrepreneur looking to avoid the costly and unexpected risks and oversights that can take a business down. Matthew's unique legal and business-building experience makes for a surprisingly refreshing approach that goes well beyond legal structure. This quick read will help you to create focus by laying out an aerial view of potential risks and distractions." --Chalene Johnson, New York Times best-selling author of Push and founder of Marketing Impact Academy
Synopsis
In a world where most businesses fail, The Art of Preventing Stupid offers a system for leaders to solve common business problems before they happen. Author Matthew Neill Davis introduces the Preventing Stupid Method to running a business, a method that guides readers in identifying, categorizing, and prioritizing threats to and weaknesses in their business. This book details how to efficiently prevent and manage potential and present problems and helps business owners and managers learn how to create leads for a more profitable business. You will learn how to seize opportunities rather than wallow in problems that should never have made it to the surface. Forward-thinking risk management This book delivers bold business strategy rooted in forward-thinking risk management. It is about changing how leaders think, so they can run their business with confidence, effectiveness, and profitability. It shows struggling entrepreneurs how to weed out the stupid mistakes they're making, so they can move forward. For those already running a business, it offers next-level risk management strategies to make work easier, more profitable, and more secure. Advice from a lawyer In The Art of Preventing Stupid, you'll get a lawyer's perspective and insight and the value of a fractional general counsel for the cost of a single book. Matthew Neill Davis of Davis Law, PLLC, a firm that has three times made the Law Firm 500 for being among the fastest-growing law firms in the nation, will show you how to make smart, meaningful changes to successfully grow your organization. With his extensive litigation and business representation experience and expertise in building and running custom legal departments for businesses and nonprofits, he has dedicated himself to helping business owners make smart business decisions.

- j***u (1337)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseBeautiful perfect hardcover book well packaged fast service and great communication.
- e***d (290)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseGreat price for this huge book. Shipping was delayed but not too unreasonable though the book could have been packed a bit better with some bubble wrap as it tore through the very thin mailer envelope. Would recommend seller to cushion heavy books better when using thin mailer envelopes to avoid the tearing and potentially loosing books. Book is as described! Satisfied with my purchase and would buy from again if packaging was more sturdy. Thank you :)
- p***r (142)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseAs described ,nice price, quickly shipped but not in a padded envelope, nor with a cardboard padding inside a regular envelope, so corners of book were free to be bumped in transit. They were not. The book looked good even with a tear at one corner of the envelope. Both the seller and the buyer were lucky.
- s***k (122)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseHigh quality book arrived in good condition as described. The book's appearance is satisfactory. A great value! Shipping: Seller shipped promptly. But I received an eBay message saying: USPS made a delivery attempt but were unable to proceed due to an insufficient address. Huh? Also, shipping history said book was "Held at Post Office At Customer Request." I didn't request this to be done! Next day I went to my USPS office. They fished around & found package. My address was correct. Weird.Photographing People (Kodak No Nonsense Photography Guides) - O'Connor, Mich... (#156481824914)
