About this product

Product Information

Discover the ideal professional camera body to advance your photography with the Nikon D200 10.2MP Digital SLR camera. Enjoy features like high speed, continuous shooting at 5 fps, auto and manual white balance options, and 3D Color Matrix Metering II. With the 0.94x magnification availability on the viewfinder with 95% frame coverage, you won't miss a single detail. The built-in 60MB of storage and rechargeable lithium-ion battery encourage you to shoot with confidence. Just add your favorite compatible lenses like the AF-1 or AF-S Nikkor, and you'll have a great camera to take you and your photography to new levels. The Nikon D200 is a robust but compact, high-performance digital camera made of magnesium alloy with sealed body seams. Rubber gasket seals help weatherproof the camera body. The oversized controls are easy to handle even through gloves, and a rubber coating provides extra traction in grip areas. The D200 DSLR camera powers on and responds quickly to user input. The 11/7 TTL auto-focus area combined with the Multi-CAM 1000 gives you some amazing focal options. The four AF area modes are Single Area AF, Continuous Servo AF, Group Dynamic AF, and Closest Subject Priority Dynamic AF. You can also use compatible lenses for manual focus. Shoot in RAW or JPEG format, and take advantage of the ISO 100-1600 sensitivity. The Nikon D200 digital camera's 2.5-inch, TFT LCD monitor display has 230,000 pixels to give you a better view of your shots. Adjust sharpness, contrast, noise, and saturation with the D200, or toy with overlay and multiple exposures without leaving the field. The flexible control system lets you program buttons and lock important controls to avoid accidental adjustment. User interface design can be overlooked in the face of powerful specs, but the Nikon D200 has an attractive menu system and an easy, accessible range of custom settings. Playback is easy to operate with features like one-touch zoom. If you get lost or want to learn a new trick, there are in-menu help pages built in. The LCD control panel set on top of this Nikon camera keeps you up to date on important information like ISO sensitivity and aperture. This Nikon camera features a viewfinder with a DX-format image sensor and 50-millimeter f/1.4 lens provide a wide, bright view with no distortion. The two auto-focus mode options help you take clear, detailed photos of static and moving subjects. Select from 11 focusing areas in Normal Zone or from 7 bigger areas in Wide Zone. The pop-up flash has a long arm, which is a handy feature for using lens hoods and avoiding red-eye. The D200 DSLR camera is compatible with the Nikon MB-D200 battery pack and vertical grip, providing power from two extra EN-EL3e batteries or six AA batteries. Expand your connectivity with optional NMEA 0183 GPS Interface standard support with the Nikon GPS Cable MC-35, or transmit files wirelessly with the Wireless Transmitter WT-3. The USB 2.0 Hi-speed interface ensures speedy transmission between the D200 and your computer while preserving image quality. The A/V out and DC-in connectors offer further sharing options. Use this Nikon camera to capture special moments that will last a lifetime. The size of the Nikon D200 makes it a compact camera, so its easy to take advantage of all the features on the go, including ISO sensitivity.

Perfectly as described, one of the best packaging I’ve received from any seller on eBay. Seller is very nice and communicative and although you do have to wait 10 days before the item ships, as soon as it shipped it was delivered the next day I was really surprised. Camera is in excellent condition and looks exactly like the photos and condition described. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in buying cameras and would definitely buy again!!

Just recieved the lens. As advertised.......NEAR MINT! Even though it took a little longer to get to be sent, the seller informed me that this was to make sure the item was in top condition. It is. Really GREAT condition, and well packaged, so worth the wait. (Actual postage time for it to arrive from Japan, after it was sent, was very fast.) Would recommend this seller. Thank you.

As good as a 2005 Corvette

An excellent example of a three digit (D100, D200, D850) Nikon. 10 megapixels is plenty, and since I have a bunch of cameras with the CMOS Sensor, I don't mind this having a CCD. I find that cameras with 6 mpix up (Nikon D100, Canon 20D, etc. work fine, are quick processing, and don't take so much room in the cloud. Plus, you can shoot in RAW (NEF) with a manageable size file. It feels good and solid in the hand, Large size viewfinder makes it easy to get verticals and horizontals squared away. Menu choices reasonable and manageable, four shooting presets on the menu. No automatic setting like on cheaper Nkons. (Default settings are fine, but this camera is one that responds well to custom settings. I love it and oftenn reach for it in preference to my D2X, and my 24 megapixel D7100.

  • Great Camera For The Price. Get One If You Can.

The D200 is an excellent camera for being an older model. I was able to pick it up with a lens for about $185 with shipping and I couldn't be happier. It's more in depth than point and shoot cameras I have used, but it's still straight forward if you do your research and learn how to properly use it. I recommend buying a cleaning kit and some silica or other anti-moisture packets because mine was delivered with some dust in the body and a little bit of fogging on the lens, so it's good to have it around as a precaution if you are a first time buyer. Even if you can't pick it up with a lens, I highly recommend this older body as it is above average image quality, has all the features you could want, and has a professional feeling and weight than most of the $500-800 entry level cameras on ...

  • Nikon D200 Review 5*

This has a CCD sensor. The colors are brighter and more "film" like. I like it better. This was a semi pro camera. It still is- but it's "only" 10 mega pixels. It's a APS "DX" sensor- anything smaller, even if more mps, usually ,means less low light quality. Like indoors. If you don't print bigger than 8x11", you'll never notice. If your hand is steadier than mine, 36x48" prints are good. 4x6s, 5x7s- normal prints- are really really good. I also have a 24mp D7100- that allows me to crop off 2/3 of the shot and stll have decent quality. But the D200 has the same high quality pictures, as long as you're not a heavy cropper.. The D200 takes all the Nikon lenses, flashes, etc. Make sure you get the "3E" batteries, not "A". For most people, a fast 16gb card, 1 meter usb, 2 batteries: and ...

  • The camera I gave up my F5 for!

Even though the rest of the world seemed to be going digital, I clung stubbornly to film, thinking no other camera could produce images that could touch the ones produce by my F5 and Fuji professional color film. The D200 proved me wrong. I used a rental D200 along with my F5 to do a wedding in October 2009. I was amazed at the results. The images were every bit as good as the F5 produced! Not only that, but the same great Nikon Lenses (105mm micro, 60mm micro and 24-120 mm zoom) worked as quickly and as smoothly on the D200, as they did on the F5. Another big plus; you can see your shot almost instantly; to see who blinked or made a funny face, instead of finding out when the film is processed. I used to take 4 shots of everything, to be sure I had one great shot. Now, I can save ...

  • Well built and full of features

This camera is a very well built and feels substantial in your hand- much better than the newer more plastic, light-weight consumer dslr's. It packs many features into its controls while still being easy to use for the basic user. A truly great option for someone who is getting into photography for the first time as well as the more seasoned photographer. Since it has an internal focus motor it can use the complete range of available Nikon and other glass available, making this a great choice.
