I watch this again and again
I watched the whole series on Netflix years ago and finally convinced my daughter to give it a try but to my horror... it was not on netfix anymore. I started looking to purchase it knowin that I would watch it again with my daughter. Monk is a compulsive personality with many phobias but a distinct ability to see detail and solve investigative cases that others are stumped by. His compulsive behavior has caused him to be suspended from the police force, but he is often hired as a consultant. This series has a thread that runs from the beginning to the end dealing with the only case Monk was unable to solve...the death of his beloved wife Trudy. I loved the series. It is humorous, heart-warming and at many times exciting. Monk's character seems somewhat selfish many times but you ... The best of the best!
Monk is, hands down, our favorite TV show. We bought all eight seasons and when we were finished watching them, we just wanted to start over! Usually when we purchase a TV show on DVD, we are bored with it and are ready to watch something else when we finish. But with Monk, we were sad that it was over. The theme song makes us happy. It was written and sung by Randy Newman, who also composed the music for the movies: Ragtime, Awakenings, The Natural, Leatherheads, James and the Giant Peach, Cats Don't Dance, Meet the Parents, Cold Turkey, Seabiscuit and The Princess and the Frog. He has scored seven Disney-Pixar films: Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story 3, and most recently, Monsters University. If you have no one in your family that can ... I was/am a devoted fan of the Monk series and wanted to collect all the seasons. Monk is a detective series unlike any other. It stars an obsessive compulsive detective who solves crimes in the most unconventional ways. He is portrayed in such a positive light. We get to see the realities of people suffering from OCD. The show is funny, serious, exciting all rolled into one. Tony Shaloub, who plays the title character is FABULOUS in his role. This series is a must see and definitely one to collect and see over and over again.I was/am a devoted fan of the Monk series and wanted to collect all the seasons. Uniquely entertaining detective series, now in more compact packaging
I was surprised when I received the package because of its compact design. I already owned Seasons 2-6, and those came in four separate disc cases inside of a cardboard box. Since my storage space is limited, this new, compact package is ideal. All four discs come inside one disc case, which significantly saves storage space. Obviously, I'm already a fan of the series itself. It's smart, funny, and will appeal to mystery lovers and fans of detective shows. Each episode is intelligently written and uniquely entertaining. If you watch a few episodes, you will get to know and love my favorite TV detective, Adrian Monk!I was surprised when I received the package because of its compact design. 2 seasons for the price of one..good deal
Monk can be annoying but yet annoying is good. It isn't the usual run of the mill cop show. He does take some time to get to the bottom of things and yet it mostly is done with some hassles of other people along the way.
