About this product

Product Information

Designed to look and play like the N64 version of this title, Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Color features several familiar Nintendo characters in a fairly realistic tennis simulation. Some characters are available for play initially and many others are unlocked as the player achieves various goals. The player's character gains experience as he or she wins competitions and can use this to improve different tennis skills and abilities. The N64 Transfer Pack allows developed characters to be transferred from the Game Boy Color cartridge to the console and a link cable allows two handheld gamers to go head-to-head or compete together against a computer-controlled doubles team.

    Great and old game

I played this game as a kid and loved it! Finding tricks to whoop everybody and their momma. It’s still great as a man-child.

Excellent game is such a small package. Still holds up after all these years.

  • The Best Game Ever Released For Gameboy!!

At first it appeared that Mario Tennis might not have Mario in it at all, though it quickly became obvious that even if the star never appeared, i wouldn't mind at all!! The game centers around a new arrival at a prestigious tennis academy who quickly rises to the top and then travels to a special cup where you may play against Mario and the crew. This game is super-fun! Above the stunning tennis play, there are dozens of mini-games which not only assist you in honing your skill, but are just plain fun for their own sake!

  • Great Game

This is one of my favorite random childhood games that nobody's heard of. It's very easy to pick up and play, has a fun story, and good replay value. You can also easily find it for very cheap.
