    Hardcore Doors fans, Check out LA Woman 40th

    This the third time I purchased this album. The second time on CD. I mainly bought it because, they went back and remixed the album, with superior sound quality. The sound is better but not,what I expected. Better stereo and basically all the levels have been turned up. Jim's vocals are pumped up, alternating with brighter guitar and keyboard. Densmore's drums are crisp and kick. The second CD of alternative versions, sounds more like recorded practice runs, rolling, of the originals. The highlight is Morrison's scream, kicking off The Changeling(alt. version). The two bonus tracks sound like,live played covers. The real gem is the pictures and booklet. Some of the photos have Morrison's lyrics, in his hand writing superimposed. The pictures of the actual recording ...
