nice mic for a beginner
I set this up on my PC. The C-1U was detected and installed by Win 7 automatically with no problem. Some people who bought this item said there was a problem with the dB level being too low but I corrected this problem with an adjustment to the Windows volume level app. 1. Right click on the speakers symbol on the Windows 7 task bar 2. Select "Recording devices" from pop up menu 3. From the "Recording" device tab select the Microphone C-1U 4. Select the "Properties" button at the bottom of the device list window 5. In the "Microphone Properties" window select the "Levels" tab 6. Click on the "Microphone" slider and adjust the volume level to 100I set this up on my PC. The C-1U was detected and installed by Win 7 automatically with no problem. If you need a quality desk or podium microphone this will work perfectly.
Works very good. Professional quality. Perhaps too large for some people but the sound quality and added security of ridding external external interference noise was important. Certainly much better than a clip-on mic if you are walking back and forth on a stage... this model would be a little heavy for that. But the natural voice sound and highs and lows you get make this a high quality product. Works good on my Mac and with Garage Band. I bought this mic specifically for podcasting. I have had other mics over the years but this works best for close-up sound recording.Works very good. Professional quality. Not compatible with windows 7 experience, do not buy!
I bought this product to record rap vocals, But having windows 7 it was completely not compatible with my computer. When I first received it, I was excited to connect and start, but after hours of research and frustration of trying to make it work with my computer ( I even tried dual booting windows xp so it could be compatible, but that didn't work either ) I just gave up because there was no way it was going to work, so I resold it. On the behringer website itself, it says it is compatible with windows 7, do not believe that... I tried everything, from downloading multiple soundcards and drivers, to even running windows xp. I can't give a review on it's performance, because I could never get it to work! Just letting people know, DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 7, it is not compatible. A ... Works fine other than you have to work at low hiss while recording. Make sure you raise volume level in sound settings in control panel.
