    Still crushing on Kate!

The Apex of Kate Bush' career by far. I used to fall asleep to the cassette in college and it inspired some very thought provoking dreams I still remember. I also am still quietly in love the woman I knew who shared my passion for this album and I couldn't tell you what country she lives in for certain. In essence most of the tracks are memorable like a Viking saga set to music, dancing along the line between poetry and storytelling. Some have even been covered by artists in the last two years from entirely different genres, techno, pop, heavy metal etc.. It's a fantastic selection from UK crossovers of the early 80's and a blast from the past for those of us who spent our late teens watching music on MTV!

  • One of my all time favorite albums. Had it on cassette previously and had meant to upgrade to CD for several years. Thank you for the opportunity to

Rediscover this exceptional artist. Though not nearly as well known in the U.S., Kate Bush is a unique innovator on the level of David Bowie and influenced numerous artists from Tori Amos to Lady Gaga.

  • The 80's did suck, but there were exceptions!

Progressive rock got a bad rap thanks to some poor marketing and huge hair. If you liked Peter Gabriel, find out what the other side of the brain can do on the same intoxicants. No goose shaped dress here. There are moments of awesome transcendence, and the production value is top notch for the time, they did not skimp for this alternative artist's musings. Also one of the few excellent works of sound engineering for a female vocal performance. Cool stuff.

  • Waking The Witch

Kate Bush is a true artist and while that has often kept her music off the charts, she has stayed true to herself and pushed the limits of pop music. This has caused her to gain a ton of respect from much more well known acts as well as a huge cult following. Hounds Of Love is a bit more mellow and subdued than The Dreaming but it is still extremely quirky and twisted under the surface. Way way ahead of it's time. 5 Stars.

  • Hounds of Love

This Album is an absolute Sonic Masterpiece from beginning to end. There are so many layers to discover, 35+ years later I'm still trying to decipher and take it all in! Kate has a beautiful soothing yet haunting tone that is captivating. The beats and baselines coupled with the catchy lyrics are not to be missed. If you love good music this is a must have!
