Cincinnati Reds superstar Charlie Hustle lends his name to Pete Rose Baseball for the Atari 2600. In this game you can challenge the computer or a friend to nine innings of pitching, batting, catching, running and fielding. Throughout the course of a game, six camera angles will be used: pitching/batting, left infield, right infield, left field, center field and right field.<br><br>After stepping up to the plate, you can move around the batter's box and adjust your position to swing high, down the middle or low. You can also move left or right for hitting inside and outside pitches. With a push of the button, you will get a strike if you miss or will hit a fly ball, a homer or a grounder. If you let the ball whiz by, you will either get a strike or a ball, depending on whether the ball was pitched within the strike zone.<br><br>When it's your turn to pitch, you will have several pitches to choose from, including fastballs, sinkers, screwballs, curveballs and change-ups. You can pitch inside or out and fast or slow.<br><br>Pete Rose Baseball is like a day at the ballpark, but you are a part of the team instead of a mere observer. You will play in a packed stadium, complete with cheering crowd and organist.
