A shocking scientific discovery.A conspiracy of staggering brilliance.A thriller unlike any you've ever heard...When a NASA satellite discovers an astonishingly rare object buried deep in the Arctic ice, the floundering space agency proclaims a much-needed victory -- a victory with profound implications for NASA policy and the impending presidential election. To verify the authenticity of the find, the White House calls upon the skills of intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton. Accompanied by a team of experts, including the charismatic scholar Michael Tolland, Rachel travels to the Arctic and uncovers the unthinkable: evidence of scientific trickery -- a bold deception that threatens to plunge the world into controversy. But before she can warn the President, Rachel and Michael are ambushed by a deadly team of assassins. • Could this really happen ? Maybe !!!!

I'm a fan of Dan Brown and his two other great books The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demon, but this is a different story. The basis is yet the same, a mind blowing act that will totally change the way things are we were taught!! Mr. Brown writes this exceptionally well in how his characters change the meaning of false impressions. They are chased all over the world, with a Delta Team always right behind them or in front, but yet just out of reach, and when they do clash, it is like clash of the titans... A masterfully written novel and a pleasure to listen too.. When I got home I didn't want to get out, but I did.. A highly recommended novel for those who can live with the thought of life other than our and from outer space, but then.. It really true.. You’ll have to buy this and ...

  • Deception Point, unabridged audiobook

I am a fan of audiobooks. I first bought Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" and "The Da Vinci Code," both unabridged audiobooks. After these, I became interested to hear other works by Brown. I purchased "Deception Point," and found that I liked it too, finding it to be very engaging, an excellent thrill ride. It's full of twists and turns, and the culprits are relevant and believable given the nature of the political arena in the US. Some of the characters are hatefully vile which is necessary for a good story. I liked that the theme was other than religious, being one of politics, power, greed and "deception," so typical in politics. I loved that the dirty laundry of the deserving was finally displayed for all to see. This is a work of fiction, and yet it is possible that there are men who ...

  • great

I bought it because living in california is a giant parking lot, and i found i wasted to much time, & got too stressed in "rush" hour traffic. i decided to try listening to a book, since by the time i got home idid not have time to read. i found this to be perfect way to de-stress & enjoy a good book. Deception Point is well written , filled with mystery & intrigue as well as action packed. I looked forward to the drive to anywhere. i recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good action, & mystery. AAA+++

  • GREAT BOOK..GREAT ADVENTURE

I loved this book..Tho i heard it on audio book..I actually hated getting out of the car..It is very engrossing from the beginning..From the first act of murder..It gives a fast pace thriller story line .That is totally beleivable..And a probably pretty accurate view of politicians..has a range of territory from the artic..washington dc and the ocean..don't pass up a great book
