About this product

Product Information

An in-depth, full-color, step-by-step guide to the new golf swing that has taken the PGA Tour by storm The traditional golf swing requires a level of coordination that few golfers have. So it's no surprise that, despite huge advances in club and ball technology, the average golf handicap in America has dropped by only one stroke since 1990. Maverick golf instructors Michael Bennett and Andy Plummer spent a decade researching the swing, eventually combining physiology and physics to create a method they dubbed the "Stack and Tilt." The result? Big-name pros like Mike Weir, Tommy Armour III, and Aaron Baddeley are already converts, and Bennett and Plummer are now two of the most soughtafter swing coaches in the game. Making these breakthroughs available to everyone, The Stack and Tilt Swing is a handsome, fully illustrated, complete course, packed with more than two hundred full-color photographs that make it easy for golfers at all levels to adopt this radical yet simple approach. Analyzing why the traditional swing won't work for most golfers, the authors explain the importance of keeping the upper body stacked over the lower body, while the spine tilts toward the target during the backswing, greatly reducing the inconsistencies created by the old-fashioned approach. Enhanced with practice routines, a troubleshooting list, test cases, and point-by-point assistance, this is the breakthrough guide to golf's hot new secret weapon.

Unfortunately “S and T” has been smeared by golf traditionalists.

Good alternative instruction for those who struggle to play golf by trying to mimic how professionals swing the golf club. Stack an tilt provides us mere mortals with a much simpler option to success. Helped me immensely!

  • The Stack and Tilt Swing by Andy Plummer, Michael Benne

I purchased this book as I was interested in this golf swing concept, and was interested in learning more about it. The book is well detailed and the swing changes that are involved, seem to make sense, but it is certainly not the best written book that I've ever read! It is not the easiest golf instructional book to read and fully understand, and The pictures do not always seem to match the text. I found myself repeatedly, re-reading portions of the text over and over again, in an effort to try to fully understand exactly what the authors meant. This is a book that has to be read very methodically. It is not a "quick read and go try it" exercise. The Stack and Tilt swing concept does seem to be logical, as it advocates minimizing body weight shifting movements that occur during the ...

  • Stack and Tilt can improve your game.

I played golf in college and as a high level amateur for many years. I took about 12 tears away from the game and am now returning to it. I was practicing allot but not getting the results that I thought I should have been getting. I researched Stack and Tilt, tinkered around with a few of the concepts, and I liked the results. I bought the book so that my practice and game would have a direction/ method, not just Band-Aids when I had a bad day. The Stack and Tilt book is laid out in a format that is easy to follow. It works up from the basics to the more advanced. The book thoroughly explains why you should be doing certain moves and the results that will accompany the changes. I agree with the authors that if a swing change is a proper change you should see immediate results. That has ...

  • The Stack and Tilt Swing

I wanted to find a book that details how to make consistent contact while hitting solid shots. I also wanted a system that was easy to understand and could be used by an average golfer (who normally scores between 85-95). This book is easy to read and it has sound fundamentals behind to back up the system. You will hit the ball more solidly and accurately. It will take some time to figure out your yardages with each club while using the new swing, but it will be worth it. If you sway off the ball and have a problem with getting too much much on the outside of your right foot, this is the book for you. I no longer sway and I have eliminated all the problems that go with moving your weight too much while you swing. Golf teachers might not like this book, but average golfers without ...

  • Very good informative book that should improve anyone's golf swing.

The book itself is in very good shape as described and the content is very good as well. I read reviews that said it wasn't the easiest to understand, but as a fairly new golfer, I am finding it very clear.
