First Aid Merit Badge pamphlet 1992 advancement BSA
This is a merit badge pamhplet (MBP) from the Boy Scouts of America. Merit badges are subject-related areas that Boy Scouts can learn about & the pass requirements off to earn a patch. There have been several different types (particularly the covers) of MBPs over the years. The 1992 version uses the 1980s series covers: photo front cover topped with a white stripe bordered by 2 red stripes. First Aid is a required merit badge for the Eagle Scout rank. This is among the most earned merit badges in all of Boy Scouting. This pamphlet has been used to teach boys how to apply basic first aid, as well as lifesaving skills. Many boys that have worked on this merit badge have gone on to apply those first aid skills. Some Scouts have even saved the lives of others from what they have learned. The ... Although not the most comprehensive or easiest-to-use first aid manual, it is still a good reference & teaching aid for youth. As technology, techniques, and safety precautions have changed, so has the merit badge pamphlet. There are many versions & printings before the 1992 version & some that came after.
