So glad I gave this a try-best price found!

This fits the bill for our needs, better than expected for it being the best price I found anywhere! Arrived in product box (good to know if it's a gift), and in perfect condition! Haven't used Skoove trial, yet. Piano teacher suggested 76 key or more (this is 88-key)and full sized weighted keys. This is ideal for our girls who will be beginning piano lessons-daughter was delighted with full keyboard size...it is long! Just enough options in this without being overboard or complicated. Very pleased that this was offered as we didn't want to spend several hundred or more on this new interest of our daughters or invest in a huge piano that would be like adding another piece of furniture in our space....plus this uses headphones if you wish ;). FYI: I do not have much experience with ...

Save up a little more, this isn't the time to be thrifty

When making an expensive investment, it is best to look at both the good and bad reviews. You thought about getting the Alesis Recital, but you're patting yourself on the back for getting the Pro with its fully weighted keys, feeling like you splurged on yourself while saving money on bigger brands. The thing that destroys the Pro is the fact that key weight is inconsistent. It's all over the place. Piano is all about muscle memory, and any meaningful practice on this thing will teach you less transferrable skills. It would be an unnecessary attention drain to remember each key's quirky weight, and how hard you must attack it. If you are new to piano, you may not realize that your poor sound on the attack is because of the keyboard, and not because of you. If you'd like a demonstration of ...

  • Extremely nice for the money.

When you say "portable" yes, it can be carried but I wouldn't want to walk a long distance with it. It weighs close to 20lbs. The feel of the keys are great. I was at a local music store the other day, and I played on several keyboards that were more expensive than the Alesis Recital, and the Recital has a much better touch and response on the keys than those. If you're debating about buying one, you won't regret getting the Recital.

  • Perfect for beginners

It's a good product. Overall great. I was a little disappointed in the weight of the keys as I was expecting them to be a little heavier, but perhaps my understanding of "semi-weighted" isn't realistic. Not sure. In any case, that was the only downside. Everything else is great about it.

  • Great and affordable.

I really like this! I wish the feel of the keys were a bit better, but I'm probably expecting too much from a keyboard. It's a LOT of fun to combine two effects at a time. Overall, quite happy with my purchase!
