    Excellent film, but no subtitles for foreign dialog

    I love this movie, which I have owned since it was released on VHS over 30 years ago. This DVD has excellent audio & video quality. My only complaint is that there are no subtitles for the Arabic dialog, and there is quite a lot throughout the film. Even the VHS tape had subtitles for this.

    Chuck Norris kicks some terrorist BUTT ~ silly and FUN!

    PLOT: a Jet full of passengers are taken hostage by Lebanese terrorists and the delta force to the rescue. 1987~STAR studded film with Joey Bishop, Kim Delaney, George Kennedy, Susan Strassberg, and Shelley Winters~ all are on a JET and it high jacked by Terrorists~ the first HOUR drags with the BADDIES generally abusing the Jewish and Americans on the jet~ Lee Marvin has little to do as the *head* of the commando delta force* ~ sends them to Lebanon to rescue everyone. Chuck Norris is in great form as Major Macoy~ who pretty much gets most of the baddies himself. it is FUN to see him rough up the TERRORISTS. the Delta Force do a neat ~ clean up~ and recover plane, crew and hostages. a great scene where the jet takes off and scoops Chuck off a motorcycle. still a fun watch~ I GIVE IT 4 ...

    Chuck Norris, need I say more?

    Great movie if you are a Chuck Norris fan and one of the last films Lee Marvin ever did. Although this film was made in 1986, the subject matter of the United States dealing with hostilies in the middle east is still very relevant. As most Chuck Norris films are scripted, there is a clear good guy and a very bad guy. The full extent of what terrorists can do pre-9/11 is shown and not necessarily appropriate for children to view, so parents should be advised. Film has a great ending and I would recommend to anyone who likes action adventure movies with simple and easy plots. This film will also remind you of how great all servicemen and women the United States has and how many of them make the greatest sacafice of all.

    Action

    Great Chuck Norris movie. Not your typical no brain action movie. The plot is fairly real and you get to feel for the characters in the movie. Chuck takes a back seat to his Delta Force team and that is what is great about the movie, he is not on screen 100% of the time. Solid flick.

    Great Movie!!

    I've always liked Chuck Norris as an actor. Probably because my grandpa always liked him and I would always watch movies with him when I was younger. Of course Chuck Norris stars in this movie and I've liked it since I first saw it. I thought I had this movie on vhs but couldn't find it so I decided to buy it again on dvd. It's a great movie.
