  • Very interesting and informative without the usual junk

I get a kick out of a fellow reviewer who was more or less expecting this to be the same type of "repair" manual that it typically is for cars, and I suppose that the cover design does lead one to think that. But considering the vast size of the ship and the thousands of items on it that can potentially break down, this being a repair manual would be akin to trying to squeeze a detailed history and map of the entire universe onto a single CD-ROM - and it says right on the cover that it's about the construction and design. • Great addition to Titanic Fan's Library.

This is a great supplement for the Titanic Historian...it brings together much of the technical data from the "ShipBuilder" of the era. The casual fan will enjoy the easy to understand drawings, pictures of the ship's equipment and building specifications. I truly enjoyed the secondary or auxillary systems such as refrigeration and plumming which I had not read about. Overall five stars... a great addition to any Titanic Enthusiast's library.

  • A construction manual, not a repair manual

I bought this thinking it would be sort of like the 'Chilton' books are for cars, showing how to fix and repair the Olympic class ships. It's not, but it does have a lot of pictures showing how the 3 ships were constructed. Not what I was expecting but I still liked it.
