    Great easy to use camera!

    Bought this as a back up to my Canon SD800 and it works great! Many extra features that the Canon does not have. Fast start up makes it ready when you are. Better AWB than the Canon. Very sharp and balanced images. Perfect for Website photo's where JPEG's are needed. Love it!

    Great advanced point and shoot

    Very nice camera. Video is excellent, as well as the photos. One con is the photos are very saturated when compared to other cameras. My only other gripe is the button setup could be better. Example, when shooting in aperture priority the back wheel controls aperture diameter but the top wheel doesn't do anything. This should control ISO or EV... actually anything would be better than nothing. Minor gripes however as long you get the camera for a good price. The lack of RAW is a non-issue for me, but that seems to be what every review of this camera focuses on. On the positive side the macro is amazing.

    Small, EZ to use, great video/pic quality in low light

    Used the video at night at a car race...couldn't believe the sharp and bright picture of the race. The zoom pulled in tight action at turns with ease. Great sound (stereo). Crisp color pics of night football games are the best I've ever taken. Excellent buy for the money. Easy to use. Bought a belt loop type case- not much bigger than most cell phones. Agree the pop up flash is not in a good spot, but once you know its there you can learn to hold it differently. The camera itself feels like "cheap plastic" but the video and picture quality make you forget about it fast.

    A great advanced compact Nikon camera

    I wanted a camera able to take beautiful photos in almost all situations; in motion, in low light, at night..., then I realize that I probably going to need a pro camera like D3000 or so on for that, but I also wanted a compact camera so I could take it in my pocket or bag anywhere. Time goes by and I read about this new release of Nikon, a compact camera with a cmos sensor and a speedy shooter for action scenes, it just sound perfect to me, It was the great advanced camera I was searching for. Now I have it for about a month, I'm happy because I took great photos indoors, outdoors, motion pictures, panoramas, macro, birds, water in motion, sunsets and so on.     Best point and shoot camera!

    This has got to be my favorite camera yet. I always had rather simple cameras with pre-set scenes and such only. Boy was I missing out! This camera takes amazing quality photos, with the least amount of noise. You can adjust the shutter speed and aperture to get the desired effect you want, or the Auto setting, which works well too. On auto, the aperture is adjusted automatically depending on where the camera is pointed. Basically, it's extremely good in low light! I'm amazed at how it can take such good indoor photos without a flash, and not be dark and grainy. It has in-camera editing, such as skin softening, back light, and much more. These tools come in handy quite often. The movie button is also nice because you don't have to go through a menu to select it, you just push the button. ...
