  • Great 5.1 Metal!!

This was my very first DVD-Audio ever! My ex wife completely freaked out on the very first track, Enter Sandman, as one of the rear channels next to her ear whispered eerily, “We’re off to Never Neverland…”. I’ll never understand fully how Multichannel, High Resolution Music didn’t go over…hopefully all these new artists embracing object based recording and utilizing Dolby Atmos and Spatial Music on Apple will FINALLY win the day!! Anyway what an amazing metal surround mix, with my favorites being, The God That Failed, Through The Never, My Friend Misery, Wherever I May Roam and Unforgiven. I highly, highly recommend getting a 4K player that does it all, including the Multichannel tracks on DVD Audio (MLP Advanced Resolution) and SACD (DSD) not to mention Blu Ray Audio and all the great ...

  • Very good sound.

Was never a huge Metallica fan, but love advanced resolution 5.1. Own many and this is definitely worth owning if you can find it reasonably priced.

  • A fun listen to of you have nice 5.1

5.1 mixes of albums are fun but not practical. They are only for the fanatical music lover. This is a blast to listen hearing things in the music spread out around the room. Guitars, overdubbed vocals, orchestras and other added effects fill your room.

  • Nothing Else Better

The best sounding Metalllca album ( not necessary their best one) sounds even better with DVD-Audio format. If I have to choose one album to show off the superior sound of DVD-Audio system, this would be my top pick. The thunderous "Enter Sandman" and the clarity of guitar intro of "Nothing Else Matters" alone worths the price of this disc (going for about $40 on EBay, a bargain in my opinion).

  • Excellent, endless sound on DVD-Audio

An amazing amount of sound on the DVD-Audio version.
