    Big Band Doobies at their very best

    The original Doobies are now a classic and for good reason. Good strong rock and roll songs, heavy on fun and low on frills. We watched them grow and morph over their string of albums until they reached this peak of musicianship as a big production jazz rock band sporting some of the best musicians in the world. This CD brings back a wonderful feeling of discovery and excitement for me. Every cut is brimming with interesting jaunts into jazz rock fusion and you can feel these guys' excitement about what they are accomplishing on every cut. Some like the Doobies as the good natured garage band that is the soul of their earlier work. Others like the more polished pop-jazz-rock thing they evolved to. Personally, I can't decide which I like best, but if you're a fan of the big production ...

    I have been looking for this cd for quite some time. If you are a Michael McDonald/Doobie Bros. fan this is one of their best!
