    Replacement for same 4 year old unit

    Original scale worked great. But after 4 years, started getting 0.2 to 0.3 grain differences measuring same load. Tried cleaning but still same thing. For this cheap of a price, and since original worked so well, figured I would try another. Original had been knocked around several times. The new scale cured the problems and back to 0.05 grain accuracy. To obtain that, you need to learn to view the pointer movement beyond the numbers, as the numbers only allow for 0.1 grain accuracy. BTW, as an electronic tech for 20+ years, tried several digital scales before giving up and trying the Lee. Will never go back to digital scales again. Using this scale along with Lee Auto Disc Pro and occasionally Perfect Powder Measure when doing black powder cartridges..

    Good basic powder scale

    The Lee Safety Powder Scale is a good basic reloading scale. It is simple in construction, and with any care at all it should last a lifetime. Accurate to 1/10 th of a grain, it provides all the accuracy and repeatability any reloader needs. I use mine mainly as a check on my digital scales.

    Good for the money

    I like the scale, consistency is right on, the magnetic damper is a great idea... The only issue is setting the (tenths) the plastic lock is a little cantankerous and a little difficult to see the small white lines

    Lee powder measure

    The lee powder measure looks cheap, made of plastic. If you want an all metal lee measure, consider getting the all cast option. But it measures well, and I haven't had any rounds blow up, so it obviously works. I load hot 10mm auto rounds. Be prepared to convert grains to cc.
