  • Joy Of Cooking

This book is a great reference. If you do not know, or want to learn more about classifications of ingredients, how to use them, what they do... then this book is GREAT. It has TONS of recipes. I wish it was more Modern though, it seems like no one actually makes these things these days. It is more for a Chef than for everyday use. Or if you entertain LARGE groups on an often basis. I would buy this book again. I LEARNED A LOT FROM IT!!!

  • Awesome old fashioned cookbook

  • Everything you want or need to know about cooking!!

I knew this particular book had a lot of basics about cooking. After receiving this book, I was surprised to find it contained everything anyone could ever want to know about food. There are drink recipes, international food recipes, and wild game recipes in addition to your usual, expected recipes. I have never seen such a complete book on food preparation. What a great gift this will make!
