About this product

Product Information

This is the 10th game in the "Fire Emblem" series, and it is the chronological sequel to its predecessor, "Path of Radiance." It was developed by Intelligent Systems and released in 2007.The "Fire Emblem" series is known for its combat, thanks to its tactical-grid style and high level of difficulty. "Radiant Dawn" continues these trends and expands on them for the Nintendo Wii console. The gameplay still employs a turn-based strategy, and units can still permanently die if they fall in battle. You should make sure you save often, even in the midst of battle. There is no way to predict the way the tides of war may turn in this battle game.In "Fire Emblem," players join and build up their own rebel army in their quest to reclaim their rightful land. You build your army by selecting from dozens of pre-existing characters, each with their own unique skills and weaknesses. The main heroine of "Radiant Dawn" is Micaiah, a freedom fighter and member of the Dawn Brigade. She and her allies are trying to free Daein from the oppressive Begnion occupation. She isn't the only character you can control, however. The story is divided into four parts, with more layers of the plot unfolding to reveal dramatic intrigue as you progress. Many of the characters in this release also appeared in "Path of Radiance," such as Ike, Sothe, and Zelgius. Almost every playable character from that video game, except for one, returns here to continue their adventures on Tellius. There are even returning antagonists, who are ready to wreak havoc once again. You can carry over a cleared save from "Path of Radiance" and a Nintendo GameCube memory card so that returning characters can gain increased stats. The tactical, turn-based combat makes "Fire Emblem" an intense role-playing game. All battles happen on a square grid, and the units can lend support to each other. Support units can be linked up only one on one, but there is also a secondary support system called a "bond." Bonds are either made by default or are gained when units have obtained a high support level.Slight modifications were made to the combat in this game. The level increase was raised to 40, so you can now fight untransformed. Units also will have special class-based skills. Terrain also makes a difference when in combat, as higher altitudes will grant your units better accuracy. Dark magic is also present in the combat, making its long-awaited return to the games. The story is expansive and multifaceted, as one would expect during a war. There are 38 chapters in total, with many different types of missions to complete. Some involve defeating a specific enemy, while the objective of others is simply to survive for a set number of turns. With multiple difficulty settings available, this game is something that both beginning and advanced gamers can find engaging.

The seller was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to get the package to me when there was an issue with the shipping centre. The item was well packed with no damage and is the most complete version of this collector's item I've ever seen. I would one hundred percent order from them again.

Packaged well, shipping was slower than expected, but came in an acceptable amount of time. Game was listed as new, but case had a small crack in the corner on the inside. I don’t think it was the fault of the seller though

    Great Fire Emblem Game!

My friends and I love Fire Emblem so we bought this game as a challenge because we heard it was pretty difficult, we’re very pleased with the gameplay and features, much much more compelling than, seems better than the 3DS games RPG wise!

    Usable

The game is scratched pretty badly and the case was broken, but it had all the inserts still so I just put them in different case I had. I tested the game and the intro worked, so I think it’s good to play.

  • First True Fire Emblem "sequel" (from Path of Radiance)

This game is the 10th installment of the Fire Emblem series. The Fire Emblem series is well known as one of the best turn based strategy series. Only four of the ten games have been released in the United State. What makes this game different from the other Fire Emblem games is that it is the first true sequel. All the other games kept the same basic game play but had a different storyline and characters. In Radiant Dawn, it is a continuation of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. This game keeps the same general game play. You take a select amount of characters onto a battle field. You move them over a grid to combat your opponents. You use the terrain to your advantage as well as support between characters such as healing or rescuing. There are also many talents that can be assigned to ...

  • The Sequel to Path of Radiance

Radiant Dawn is a solid entry in Nintendo's Fire Embelm series, but balance issues prevent the game from really being great. The game is a direct continuation of the story in Path of Radiance with the ability to carry over clear data to boost your characters. Gameplay is largely what you would expect from the Fire Emblem series. A new tier of classes allow characters to become even stronger than previous games. Unit leveling can be problematic. Game progress makes it difficult for early units to become strong enough to be useful later in the game. Leveling Laguz units is particularly difficult. They rarely receive significant experience unless they counterattack in human form, which is when they are extremely vulnerable. Most players will end up using mainly beorc characters for this ...

  • The best game in the series

The second installment of the "radiant" storyline. Improved in every way, story, characters, mechanics, and gameplay. 60+ hours and two branching story lines with several alternate endings. A must play for the Nintendo Wii.
