I owned this when I was younger... on cassette! It sounded awesome back then... crystal clear... or so I thought.. Then almost 2 decades later I decided to re-buy my old collection on CD this time and when it was time to buy reload it brought back memories of watching the memory remains on MTV a year after load. I thought I was dreaming cos no way in heck would Metallica put out 2 albums in 2 years. Almost every song was awesome. I can hear a lot more of the instruments this time around on CD from what I remember. Fuel, Bad-Seed, Prince Charming and Attitude are the fastest and by far the best songs IMHO. The slower ones are really really good as well. All in all, if you liked Load, you will love this. If you are an 80s Metallica snob and are going to complain about how every song does ... Metallica! Amazing band with an amazing sound.
I love all their albums and they're almost next to none when it comes to consistency relating to musical talent, style, and quality. Year after year these guys have been spitting out platinum quality music since the 80's and nothing has stopped them yet. The Cd came in the original case. Nice and untouched. The Cd played well.. No skipping or problems reading. All in all its what you would exspect from a nice Cd when you buy it new. It plays well and sounds good too.I love all their albums and they're almost next to none when it comes to consistency relating to musical talent, style, and quality. Love the attitude these guys pack, with veteran rockers like Metallica not much needs to be said, except hot enough to melt more than lead! "Fuel" is my fave track on here, and one of my faves overall of all the Metallica I've heard. Makes the blood pressure rev with the beating time of the "pistons." If that track doesn't do it for you then you probably won't like anything else Metallica has to offer. If you don't like Metallica you probably need a hearing aid. But if you DO love Metallica, then you will soon need one if you play it at the recommended levels. Head bangers get you groove on!
I am replacing this album I had it a couple years back but sum t-weaker ended up with it... I Love Fuel and attitude... I can't hardly wait 4 it 2 arrive! This CD reminds of the days when MTV used to have head bangers ball late at night with good music. So if you want some good loud good music I highly suggest this CD for any collection. If Your looking 4 sum soft stuff keep on lookin!
