Marvel Comics' metallic superhero makes his Game Boy Advance debut with the release of The Invincible Iron Man. As the armored hero, whose comic book first appeared in 1963, players will embark on a series of side-scrolling levels in an effort to vanquish such foes as Blizzard, Crimson Dynamo, and various other arch-nemeses. The villains have banded together to steal Iron Man's battle suit technology, which would render them unstoppable in their bid for world domination. To combat these threats, Iron Man can fire repulsor rays from his hands, the severity of which is gauged by a power meter found along the top of the screen. Players can also tap into the suit's ability to hover in mid-air to reach suspended platforms or to grab power-ups. A number of unlockable bonus items are also available for those willing to seek them out.

thoughts of an iron fan
I should start by saying that I am first and foremost a fan of the character Iron Man and his comics, and that played a big role in my decision to purchase this game, although that is not to say that non-fans can't enjoy it, just that being a fan will probably heighten your enjoyment as it did mine. I loved getting to play as Iron Man and wiping out all enemies that stood in my way. As an old school game fan, I also enjoyed the side-scrolling 2D action. The energy draining and regeneration system for the suit was a cool idea and helped keep the game challenging. As a fan of the comics, I especially enjoyed the unlockable art gallery. My only complaints would be that you can't fly as Iron Man can in the comics (although the boot rocket jump boost and forward charge were nice) and that the ... A little Iron Man Action Distraction
The invincible Iron Man is a decent side scrolling superhero game. I bought it because I love Iron Man comics. Pretty easy to finish very short and no armor upgrades like the next gen versions. It's just alot of shooting all the time at numerous enemies, but there are some pretty tough boss battles. So have fun Iron Man and best of luck.
