      Oreck XL Air8D

      The Oreck does clean the air nicely. As noted in so many reviews posted on the net, the silent mode is't so silent, fan speed is greatly reduced in silent mode but is still slightly audible. After a time it becomes background noise and you start ignoring it. Just take care cleaning the Truman cell, there are fine grid wires on the intake side and could be broken if handled even gently. Clean the cell from the exhaust side. If you can find a Oreck in nice shape at a reduced price, worth buying.
