One of my Favorite Masters of Horror episodes!!!
Masters of Horror - Incident (On and Off Mountain Road) I love slasher films, even though they're completely predictable and always end the same. Incident (On and Off Mountain Road) is a typical slasher film, with a twist. It follows a beautiful young lady on a midnight drive who ends up in an automobile accident. The film then goes back and forth between past and present. The flashback mode was a great way to keep this movie fresh. Incident basically tells two stories simultaneously, which I thought was really cool. The beautiful Bree Turner is superb as Ellen, and Ethan Embry does a very good job as Bruce. The scene stealer though is John DeSantis (13 Ghosts, The 13th Warrior) who plays Moonface. The only reason I say that he is a scene stealer is because he's ... Surviving a Serial Killer!!!
Pros + Creepy atmosphere. + Twist ending. + Very scary looking serial killer. Cons - Protagonist seems to be a female MacGuyver. - Serial killer dies a bit too easy. Comments The lighting effects are quite nice in this film. The whole survival training makes things not entirely believable. But the serial killer is a great creation as far as bad guys go. He kind of reminds me of the 'Jeepers Creepers' guy. Verdict Must watch for any horror fan.Pros + Creepy atmosphere. + Twist ending. + Very scary looking serial killer.
