    As many others say, this is a great all-rounder.

    It is one of my favourite lenses ( I have 7 lenses and two bodies). I have seen others claim some parts of this lens are not very robust. I am not a professional but an enthusiastic amateur and I have used it pretty solidly for more than 10 years I estimate it has taken at least 20,000 shots. It was 100% reliable until I slipped and fell on some rocks as the beach and broke both the lens and the camera it was attached to. I used the insurance money to buy another one of these lenses - that says how much I like it. It's not cheap. It's not compact. It's not light. But it lives in my kitbag and gets used virtually everytime I take photos. I use it for landscapes (especially sunsets and sunrises), and also for portraits. Great glass, great F range.

    Great lens

    Love this updated version for the crop sensor camera. Not everyone can afford the expensive full frame cameras and it is time for these new features on a crop sensor lens

    It works mostly as specified

    The lens is a little "slippery", meaning it slides back and forth on the zoom barrel when you tip it. Doesn't affect picture quality, probably means it was used a lot.
