    Still excellent value for money

    I bought this as a 7-year-old used item for a friend because it seemed excellent value for money. The model I received is clean and well cared-for. It has good storage capacity and very fast processor. The display is great, without the peeling that sometimes sets in when a macbook reaches this age. I like that it has all the useful ports, like USB, audio, HDMI, SD card, which were inexplicably discontinued on more recent models.

    A Lot of Bang for Fewer Bucks

    Older MacBook Pro laptops like this one offer excellent value for anyone who does not need the blazing CPU speeds offered by the new Mac towers and MacBook Pros. If you are seriously considering a new MacBook or MacBook Air, a 2012-2015 MacBook Pro deserves your consideration. If storage capacity is important, Other World Computing (for a few hundred dollars more) can help you out with 1TB or 2TB SSD upgrades.
