The shipping box was probably mishandled somewhere in the delivery pipeline, causing the HD to unseat. The Seller did respond to my inquiry and suggested I check the HD connection. As described? Well, it wouldn't boot into the Windows boot manager so I was a little bit disappointed about that. As for value, compared to the other Thinkpad W541s, it was priced cheaper and more affordable.
