    An English Expert's Interpretation of the Quran

    This is a lovely English translation and interpretation of the Quran. The now deceased author was a Western expert on the Islam faith. The translation is a good beginning for people who are unable to read the original, not that everyone will agree with the translation and all the interpretations in this thick paperback. The Index is helpful for Christians and Jews who desire to read about Jesus, the Trinity, or the one God. After reading this translation of the Quran, an interested person can delve further into the religion. Recommended as a starting point.

    A great resource for anyone who wants to understand Islam.

    The Koran interpreted is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to understand the most fundamental part of Islam, the Koran. Arberry translates the Koran into English word for word from Arabic without going to the Hadith or Tafsir so that the reader knows exactly the way the Koran is written. This include the "uninterpretable text". It is a great companion to go alongside more traditional interpretations like that of Yusuf Ali.
