    Fantastic Product!

I've been searching for a Famicom to NES adapter for a while. Originals are common but are getting over priced like everything in this hobby. This Hyperkin adapter works very well! It doesn't have a death grip on the cartidges and it fits into the NES easily, it's also easy to remove. Hyperkin is finally learning the correct board dimensions for retro systems! I did have to push the reset button 6 times to get the adapter to remember my consoles region, once done the adapter stores this info and it's all set to. Overall I recommend this product.

  • It works great! First time using there's an extra step required

When I first got it, I was very confused to why it wouldn't work. I'd put it in my NES with a Famicom game on it, and it'd give me the blinking light even though on the TV the game would show up fine while it was resetting. I had to look at the listing (since it didn't come with any instructions) and it said that it uses a special lockout chip that needs to configure itself to the region of the NES by resetting the system 5 to 10 times, so I tried it and it worked! Once you do it, you never have to do it again. The strap on it is a bit thin for my peace of mind. It feels like it could rip if you tug it a little hard, so I covered it with some electrical tape and it's a lot better

  • Great Famicom adapter!

I've tested a bunch of famicom carts, some original and some off brand multi-carts, all had great picture and sound. I have not run across a game/cart that did not boot. Note: If you have top-loader the cartridge label needs to face away/backwards! Tested on the Retro-Bit Super RetroTRIO Plus HD and the Tomee C2 'composite' ..
