        I wanted to use these as generic 2.5" to...

        I wanted to use these as generic 2.5" to 3.5" adapters for a couple of SSDs and they seem to do the job. Note that when used this way, only one side of the drive is actually screwed down. The other one is left floating in the air. Not a problem for SSD, but I wouldn't recommend it for HDDs.
