    I replaced a 15 year old top end Sony HT receiver, and my has the world changed.DSPs are far superior and natural and channel separation is terrific.

    The Yamaha app alone is worth buying Yamaha. Controls are remarkable, from iTunes playlists to SirusXM to Pandora, it’s all in your hands. ARC connections can be problematic, and the speaker set up can take some time to dial in, but overall really please. The app is the thing here, better than many others offered by competitors.

    Good reciever

    It has enough to drive a good set of speakers. Easy to use. I use a programmable remote to control video and a nice app for my device that controls the reciever through the network in my home. It is more reliable than Bluetooth. All in all...good bang for the buck.

    High quality surround receiver

    So far very happy great value and great sound quality. It replaced 1000$ sony-es receiver and for half the price is superior in sound and ease of use. Still haven't got it dialed in for optimal performance yet but already has been great. Once I downloaded manual made it lot easier.

    Better Than Onkyo NR646!

    I bought this unit to replace my Onkyo NR646 since it has given me nothing but issues with the HDMI inputs going out. I thought Onkyo was THE unit to get but I was wrong. I wish I would have bought this unit in the first place! Surround sound is much more pronounced, crystal clear audio at all volumes, much easier setup, and the list goes on. Runs cool and feels like a well built unit. Time will tell but so far it has been a great upgrade!
