Fixed my no-ice & clicking noise issue
Old ice maker in GE fridge was making ice but wouldn't release the cubes and let the rake drop them in the ice tray. Kept clicking every few seconds until I disconnected it. This new one is the EXACT replacement and of the same or better quality (it's 7 years newer). Plugged right in, simple swap out and making ice again. This one is half of the cost of a new (Samsung) unit through GE Appliance. Don't wast your money on the one from GE. Samsung vs GE ice maker
The Samsung doesn't produce much ice. Not even enough for a family. Maybe enough for a single person. We tried finding a GE, but apparently it isn't made any more. For the price of an ice maker the Samsung was right in line. It appears to be made with quality except the fact that it doesn't produce much ice. Would have rather had the GE.

Great replacement ice maker assembly
Despite this being the 3rd ice maker in 7 years, the supplier is very good and ships fast. The maker of the product is at the other end of the spectrum. The Korean product maker has made a complete design flaw, having dissembled the ice makers after failure, both my flaws were the small motor inside. Cost of motor would be negligible if we as consumers had access to their availability. I just hope I can make this one last longer than 3 years and not have to spend so much for a total replacement when only a low cost motor is required, but not available to consumes.Despite this being the 3rd ice maker in 7 years, the supplier is very good and ships fast. OEM icemaker - EZ to install and well proced
Exactly as described. Much less than purchasing retail. Instructions EZ to follow and install - only a screwdriver is needed and about 5 minutes of time. Info card rec'd as well to advise if circuit board required or not with fridge. Ours did not require the board and instructions on how to find out if it did were clear and required only a screwdriver as well.
