I had to use an old Windows 7 x86 (32 bit) computer to run the CPS software. The software will install and run on newer Windows, but the transfer to-and-from the radio does not work. You have to use Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 (all 32 bit). Because of the ancient operating system, I had to download the FTDI driver and install it using Windows Device Manager. It does have an authentic FTDI USB-Serial chip in it.
